The course
This 27 hole Tom Jackson design from 1990 is modeled after Scotland's Royal Aberdeen Golf Club, with three distinct nines built on traditional Scottish land features.
The three nines, the Woodlands, the Meadows, and the Highlands, each draw on a different style of traditional Scottish ground, so every pairing plays like a different course. That variety of challenges makes Aberdeen an easy pick for a Myrtle Beach golf trip, especially for groups playing multiple rounds.
The links style par 72 runs on Bermuda greens and measures 6,672 yards from the championship tees at a 72.6 rating and 135 slope. Men's tees play 6,079 and ladies' tees 4,667, giving every player in the group a fair test.

★★★The forward tees very dry. Very slow pace. Perhaps overbooked
★★★Course was not in very good shape.
★★★Outside staff could have been a little friendlier but pretty nice course.
★★★★Shaggy greens made putting difficult
★★★★always like Aberdeen - course was in very good condition
★★★★Same, very good course even with dry condition.
★★★★Played it years ago when it was 27 holes. They've simplified it somewhat by removing some of the penalty areas, but it still has teeth. Not a bad track and good warmup course.
★★★Fairways, tee boxes, greens bad shape I know it has been dry but expected better
★★★★Nice course. Well maintained. Excellent tee boxes.Front 9 was way too bunched up Not a comfortable start
★★★★In great shape, only played 9, rain came
★Course was in decent shape. Some holes had damage on the tees. The starters were completely rude to my party and another party. They were very arrogant and spoke down to the players. I also asked if I could take a cart to my car so I didnt have to carry my clubs. They said no and that it was a course policy. So I went to my car and grabbed my clubs. Brought them over and they basically lifted them onto a cart, strapped them in and then stood there waiting for a tip, again, after being rude. We finish playing and I go to drop off the cart and walk my clubs to the car and they say I can drive out to my car and drop them off..?? Thought that was against club policy. The pro shop was great, but the condescending starters think they can speak poorly to people and take advantage of others kindness and it doesn’t matter. I’d never recommend this course to anyone simply because of the starters
★Did not play due to weather
