The course
Many golfers consider Caledonia the best course in the Myrtle Beach area, and the tee sheet proves it. Times are limited and this course books up fast.
Mike Strantz built Caledonia in 1994 on the grounds of a former rice plantation, and the par 70 delivers a dazzling display of unique holes over marsh, lakes, waste bunkers, and sand. It is also one of our GolfMaster Jim's personal favorites.
Do not let the modest yardage fool you. From the championship tees Caledonia plays 6526 yards at a 72.1 rating and 140 slope, with men's tees at 6121 yards and ladies' tees at 4957. Greens are Champion Bermuda, and golfers rate the experience 3.89 out of 5. Book this one early in your planning.
