[formidable id=30]Gentle Rolling terrain, deep pine forest, undulating greens with challenging yardage gives Eagle Nest a Pinehurst flavor. The three finishing holes with a long par 4, long par 5, and an uphill, elevated par 3 were billed as the 3 toughest finishing holes on the Strand for many years. The certainly are still a challenge. The course and clubhouse have recently been remodeled. A spacious clubhouse with a well stocked pro shop and traditional fare at the Snack Bar await you.
A lot of sand on the greens and also a lot of resodded areas around the greens.
As usual the course is always undergoing repairs but stil lone of my favorites
The course was being aeroated was not easy to play
Decent course, challenging distance but that was about the extent of it. Probably would pass on this track in the future.
loved this course played very well to me being a cruddy golfer lol.
This course is always a good stop a challenging but fair course, but again there was NO beverage cart on this course.
Generally OK, but with dry and bare patches at the edges of the fairways and at places elsewhere on the fairways.
Excellent
Nice .....
Good golf course, lots of challenging holes...again cool in morning, but warming as the day went on..
Was a pleasure
Nice course, a little more winter damage than I would have expected. Would consider playing again!
Terrible condition.
not in the best of condition
Love the course very pretty setting House not right on the course
Heavy rain the night before. Course drained well in most places but was very wet in others. Greens were kind of bumpy with clumps of moss .
In bad shape
Friendly staff. GPS on cart was nice to have
Was not my best game ever. Yet it was the best day and this course is absolutely perfect.
Maybe the best golf course we played this week. Thoroughly enjoyed our round here.
Needs some grass in fair way, but otherwise good trip.
Course was not in very good shape. Hardly any grass in the fairways. I know it was January but the other courses were great. Not one I would put in a trip for other groups. Very disappointing.
Greens weren't as good as others we played and club house was not friendly. The girl in café was very pleasant.
Course was missing grass on many parts of the course when we played it.
Little grass in fairways. Hard pan surface
Fairway grass was dormant and made for some interesting lies. Other than that I loved the layout of the course. Staff was amazingly friendly.
Good course. Tough layout very challenging recommend playing this course
Average looking course. What disappointed me the most was the hype around the last three holes billed as the most challenging in the Strand. Yet, the holes looked awful.
Older course with older facilities. Course was in terrible shape.
Course was not in great shape. Numerous unsightly maintenance projects around course.
Nice
Very good for the price. No issues.
Was a good course to start trip. Nice greens.
Great course and personnel. The only tiny nIt is that we didn't see the beverage cart on the back nine. Would love to play this course again.
The course layout is great. Great condition despite all the rain. I recommend anyone to play Eagles Nest at least once.
Always enjoy this course.
Very nice course. Have played there several times and will play there again
Great course to start play.
Beautiful final holes. Number ten water damage/logged
Best course.
Average. Didn’t seem to be very well kept compared to the others.
They didn’t have our booking but fortunately I had the confirmation on my phone they were about to start a tournament so they called beechwood and sent us down there not impressed
Facility outdated
Best course played while in there but had issues c
