The course
Dan Maples built Heritage in 1986, a Lowcountry style par 71 that stretches nearly 7000 yards from the championship tees.
Part of the Legends family of courses, Heritage backs up its Lowcountry character with real length. The championship tees play 6960 yards at a 74.9 rating and 138 slope, serious numbers for a par 71. Greens are Bermuda.
The men's tees measure 6600 yards at a 73.0 rating and 132 slope, and the ladies' tees play 4248 yards with a 130 slope of their own. Golfers rate the course 3.42 out of 5 across 12 reviews.

★★★Greens under maintenance
★★Greens were punched and very slow
★★★Good course design, but course has not been maintained—would not play again
★★★Shockingly bad conditions. I've played here 2x before and thought was 1 of the nicest courses I'd ever been on so to see in this state is really sad.
★★★★★Wow, a beautiful course and experience. The o Ly down side are the dry and ugly tee offs
★★★course was a little spotty. Tee boxes not great.

★★★★★The course was in excellent shape again and has a great layout. We always include it in our list to play. Having breakfast, lunch and two beers included is an added bonus. The pace of play was ok. The only negative was that we barely made it into the clubhouse in time to order our lunch as the staff wanted to close the kitchen at 3pm. They were still professional but clearly would have preferred to shut down. Since we cannot control the pace of play ahead of us, I will request an earlier tee time next year to avoid this issue.
★★★★★First time here and absolutely loved.
★★★★★Beautiful golf course!! Really friendly staff, beautiful club house, and really good food!!
★★★Running 20 minutes late - Lack of marshall courage created a 5.5 hour round. Course in good shape.
★★★★This was the second straight day for cart path only. I popped my knee out on the eighth hole. I could not finish.
★★★Tee boxes were in kept golf course not in good shape
★Did not play due to frost delay at caledonia. We have vouchers to come back.

★★★★★Best course we play all week
★★★★We are from NJ and flew down to play some Myrtle Beach Golf for a long weekend. First off, I love this course and chose to play this course again, but it seemed like it was over booked. The course was in good shape. We were teamed up with another 2some. Our 4some waited at every tee box to tee off making for (another) looong day of golf. Our tee time was for 9:56am and we didn’t finish until 3:20pm. At 3:20 we walked into the clubhouse-Hungry-for our included free lunch only to be told “the kitchen closed at 3pm” at which time were were offered either a hot dog or a pre-made sandwich sealed in a plastic container sitting in a small fridge and a small bag of chips. I took a hot dog and my son took a sandwich. As we were finishing up the hot dog and sandwich, at 3:35pm, a Server walks out of the back with a full large tray of hot Cheeseburgers and French fries on plates and proceeds to serve a group of golfers (6) sitting next to us. How hard would it have been for the Bartender to run in the back to add 2 more hot cheeseburgers/fries to the Cook after I told her our round included lunch off the menu? However, she didn’t care at all-NOT COOL! This was a total let down after paying for the golf package that INCLUDED a nice lunch off the menu. This was not appreciated at all.
★★★Golf staff were great the restaurant staff were terrible. Golf course was good
★★★★Enjoyed the course
★★★★beautiful course. over 6 hour round. started on hole 10 even when tee times were made 359 days in advance
★Absolutely terrible that tee times are scheduled at 8 minute intervals. Waited on every shot. A rush atmosphere that was not acceptable
★★★Great course, but 30 mins late teeing off and 5 hour round
★★★★★wonderful course
★★★★Lot of blind shots
★★★I gave a 3 as my rating. This has nothing to do with the course or most of the staff. When we arrived we were greeted by the golf staff and they were pleasant and helpful. The golf course was in decent shape and it was challenging. My only issue with Heritage was the restaurant/Bar staff. Part of our package included breakfast lunch and two beers. We arrived on time to golf but did not have time for breakfast. When I inquired in the restaurant about using the breakfast coupon for a breakfast bar, I was told by a very rude employee we can't and I must pay for the $5 breakfast bar. I paid for the breakfast bar and moved on. At the end of our round we decided to use the lunch coupon. When we entered the restaurant it was full and we were greeted by the same rude employee. We were told to sit in the adjacent room and that we had 5 minutes to order or we would not be able to use the coupons. The employee taking our order was not very nice and when they took our order they became rude. We were not doing anything to cause this rudeness and it was a complete turn off.
★★★Pace of play was slow
★★★★Course in good shape, greens were a bit slow
