The course
International Club pairs fairways lined with mature trees against rolling ground, patches of marshland, and crystal clear finger lakes. Our GolfMaster Jim calls it the best course Willard Byrd ever designed.
The signature hole is the par 3 11th, which plays to an island green. Byrd mixed narrow and wide fairways throughout the routing, so club selection off the tee matters, especially if your driver is not finding the middle every time. A GPS system on the course helps you pick the right club and line. Both nines close on excellent par 5s at the 9th and 18th.
The greens are TifEagle and traditionally roll smooth and true. This par 72 opened in 2000 and plays 6857 yards from the championship tees at a 72.8 rating and 131 slope. The men's tees measure 6367 yards, and the ladies' tees play 4838 yards at a manageable 113 slope.

★Did not play due to ten inches of rain, but we did receive two rainchecks
★★★★Fun course. Was cart path only due to all of the rain, but that was not too bad. The cart paths followed close to the fairways so there was not a lot of walking back and forth. Would like to play it again when not as soggy.
