The course
The Palmetto course is one of the central beach classics, a traditional layout that finishes with a picturesque 18th along the Intracoastal Waterway.
Palmetto is the newer of Myrtlewood's two courses and sticks to a traditional design from Arthur Hills. Wide fairways give you room to swing away off the tee, while large, well trapped greens keep the approach shots honest. The round closes in style, with the 18th hole running right along the Intracoastal Waterway.
The par 72 stretches to 7015 yards and a 137 slope from the championship tees, with members and ladies tees at 6516 and 5176, all on Tifdwarf greens. The Myrtlewood complex also has an excellent practice facility, so you can work out the kinks before you tee off.

★★★★★The course was great! Had to get a rain check for 9 holes. The rainstorm ran us off.
★★Poor course conditions
★★★Greens were not in good shape at all, very rough.
★★★★People were great and the course was ok.
★★★★Myrtlewood Palmetto is consistently in solid shape from tee to green and that was the case once more!
★★★★★Very nice track to play.
★★★★Very nice course. Not real difficult and as stunning views Of the intercostal waterway. Very friendly staff and fun day all around.
★★★★Very good course design
★★★Bit to long for senior players. Needs a combo set of tees.
★★★★★Always enjoyable as my "first" course to play here
★★★★★Lots of sand and very challenging course. Beautiful course.
★★★★★Gorgeous but also very playable
★★★★Course was so busy they overbooked . Our play was delayed 8. -10 minutes for each of the front 9 and the back was slow- took 5. -3/4 hours to get 18 in and was nearly dark coming off

★★★★Very friendly staff, inside and out. Palmetto was a perfect finish to our trip. Course was in good condition. Greens were a little slower but overall a great experience.
★★★★★Beautiful, great course!
★★Course was in pretty good shape,,rough was a little deep,,even when we knew about where the ball was still took 4 of us looking and almost stepping on it to find it,,got fussed at for slow play but we stayed up with the group ahead because they also were looking for balls in the rough,,,I mean just 2 or 3 feet off the faraway cut, has 16 golfers, got rained out after 13 holes,,no raincheck but understandable,,they even let us park in the cart barn until we were sure the course was closed,, nice folks
★★★★The course was in good shape we always play it on our last day.
★★★★We did not use the course. I tried to call and cancel my reservation and no one returned my call.
★★★★Course was in great shape. Greens were nice & big. The fairways were a little wet, (Mother Nature) so we weren’t getting any roll. Ball was plugging or actually backing up sometimes, which made the course play very long. Overall, a good track. Couple of issues: Not enough water available on the course. The fountain water was warm & didn’t have enough pressure to even fill a bottle. Golfers should be allowed to bring their own water. You have to carry your clubs all the way out to the driving range, which is a hike from the bag drop and the bag assistants were bossy.
★★★★Greens under repair staff is awesome
★★★★Great course it fit our needs because we we’re staying there but we liked it alot
★★Very poor green conditions. Course layout was good.
★★Played this course on about every golf trip I’ve taken to Myrtle. Nice course. Greens were in poor shape.

★★★★★Beautiful course, long but beautiful course. The 8 of us really enjoyed this course.
★★★★★Course in great shape, group loved Myrtlewood
★★★★Conditions were not as “pristine” as last year.
★★★★Course is nice but the overall condition in places was a bit rough. Tee boxes, couple of greens etc. may have been a late spring but overall it was nice.
★★★★Staff were great. Course was in good shape.
★★★★★Unable to play it do it weather and received ZERO help from the website we booked through. However the staff at Myrtlewood Golf Club was very friendly and helpful.
★Course was great, staff was rude and pushy Never play there again They certainly take the FUN out of golf
★★★★Nice course in good condition.
★★★★★well maintained and a good layout
★★★★Course was fun, layout was challenging enough. Myrtlewood clearly tries to squeeze every possible dime they can with way too many tee times with too short of space between. Our tee time was 8:15ish in the morning snd by the time we teed off it was about 8:35. How can you be backed up 20 minutes by 8:15 am! Round took 5.5 hours.
★★★★Great course but really slow and backed up
★★6 hour round is unacceptable. Staff was unconcerned and did nothing to speed the round up. Course was in average shape.
★★★★the course is not well marked no signage between holes or at tee box
★★★★Updated golf carts with GPS tracking would be a great addition.
★★★★★Great course. Good shape. Staff was great. Super helpful.

★★★★Fun place to play. Solid layout in pretty good condition.
★★★★★Awesome layout and staff. Pace of play made it an enjoyable round for all.
★★★★We weren’t given five consecutive tee time for our group so two foursomes were given tee times in the middle of our tournament which was set up at least 3-4 months in advance unacceptable.
★★★★★Great condition, greens were excellent.
★★★★Course was in very good condition. Palmetto is definitely more challenging than Pine Hills but still very playable. Enjoyed both courses.
★★★Good course, great location, reasonably good condition. Not as good as River Hills or Pine Lakes.
★★★★★Best clubhouse, great courses.
★★Pin placements on greens were difficult.
★★★★★This course was exactly what we were looking for and needed. Open and not too hilly. Really great course for us. Loved it. Will definitely play this again next time. Maybe twice.
★★★Conditioning was fine but starter and other personnel would score zero on the hospitality chart.
★★★★★Liked this course - suits my game.
★★★★★Course was in good condition given how many rounds is played on it daily.
★★★★The first cut outside the fairway is way too high.
★★★★Great course and friendly staff. Course in good condition. Did not like that 2 foursomes were put in between our 5 groups.
★★★★★I personally did not play due to my back acting up. My other golfers thought the course was in good shape, but it was very slow. The round took 5-1/2 to 6 hours to play due.
