The course
Owned and managed by Coastal Carolina University, the Hackler Course pairs a classic Gene Hamm layout with conditioning backed by the school's agronomy program.
Formerly known as Quail Creek Golf Club, this traditional par 72 dates to 1968 and comes from designer Gene Hamm. University ownership works in your favor here, since Coastal Carolina's agronomy program keeps the course in great shape year round.
The greens were recently rebuilt with MiniVerde Bermuda and are ready for play. The course measures 6886 yards from the championship tees at a 135 slope, 6305 from the members tees, and 5287 for the ladies.
