Sandpiper Bay is a Dan Maples design dating to 1987, located in the community of Sunset Beach about 20 minutes from Myrtle Beach. The four star, 27 hole resort style facility plays as a par 72 at 6,849 yards from the championship tees with a 72.0 rating and 125 slope, 6,415 from the men's tees, and 4,883 for ladies. A recent renovation sharpened the entire property, including Miniverde Bermuda greens.
