The course
Diamondback at Woodland Valley was voted best new course in 2000, and this Russell Breeden design still delivers a beautiful, manicured round just minutes from the beach.
The intricate layout uses strategically placed bunkers and lakes to create a round that challenges without beating you up. Rolling hills give it a Pinehurst feel that stands apart from typical coastal golf, and the conditioning holds up its reputation.
The par 72 plays 6644 yards from the championship tees at a 73.0 rating and a stout 148 slope, so pick your tees honestly. The men's markers measure 5524 yards at a 139 slope, and the ladies' tees play 4387 yards at a friendly 114.

★★★★★great course, perfect greens
★★★★It's a tough little track....a little far out of town, but it's got some really good holes. I'll definitely plan on playing it again.
★★★★★Best course we played. Only downside is the layout. Too short to hit driver for me but still a great track. The staff was very accommodating.
★★★★Not sure how much I like the lay out but would try it again.
★★★★★I laughed,. I cried. It became a part of me.
★★★★Great layout. Greens were okay. The wind made it tougher to play. Make sure you play the correct tees when you are here.
