The course

The West Course at Myrtle Beach National is an Arnold Palmer design that has been testing Myrtle Beach golfers since 1973. It is a classic par 72 built in the beach style the area is known for.

Arnold Palmer put his name on the West Course in 1973, and the layout still plays the way a traditional beach style course should. It is a par 72 with Bermuda greens, giving you the putting surfaces most visiting golfers expect on a Myrtle Beach trip. Golfers who have played it recently rate it 3.75 on average.

The West Course makes a smart addition to a Myrtle Beach package, especially if you want Palmer design pedigree in your lineup. Pair it with other rounds at Myrtle Beach National and you can compare how differently a par 72 can play from one course to the next. Call Golf Trek and we will slot it into your itinerary at the right price.

Just over rated. Not the best shape. Service was sub par and borderline rude. Rides the sister course reputation

Course was struggling with dry weather and cool temps. Fairways were thin, tee boxes were beat up, but greens rolled great.

The course was very good even with the drought condition.

Ken
★★★

Poorly maintained. Rough and fairway no difference many holes. Seems like all resources went to Kings North. Traps are mostly dirt. You can see the difference on #10 when a kings north hole runs next to. Wouldn’t recommend.

Gerald
★★★

Tee boxes and fairways were sparce to say the least. Greens were fine.

Jeff
★★

Course was pretty beat up. tee boxes and greens were not acceptable. Probably would not return to this course.

John
★★★

The course is showing its age. Greens were inconsistent

Ted
★★★

Dan

I Very rough shape

Mike

MBN always provides a good experience; however, the bag drop/loading clubs/getting started was very chaotic as they seemed understaffed out front.

John
★★★

Nice course although I believe our foursome which included of two women and one 93 year old man who nearly shot his age was unfairly targeted by the ranger. We were not playing slowly. The group behind was the problem but because they were “bros” they got away with it. Sexism put a damper on an otherwise enjoyable day

Alice
★★★★

Nice course maybe we were there a little early in the season conditions were average

Kaplan

Same comments as Pine Hills.

Kenneth

It was a Saturday and we were put behind 2 men a young girl and a 6 or 7 year old that was playing?? Never seen that before on a Saturday at a 18 hole golf course? Nice course though
