The Palmetto course at Myrtlewood is the newer of the two and one of the central beach classics. It is traditional in design. It offers wide fairways and large and it is well trapped. As you are wrapping up your round, the 18th hole runs along the intra-coastal waterway. Very picturesque to say the least. The Myrtlewood complex has an excellent practice facility for you to work out the kinks before you tee off.

Course was in great shape. Greens were nice & big....
Course was in great shape. Greens were nice & big. The fairways were a little wet, (Mother Nature) so we weren’t getting any roll. Ball was plugging or actually backing up sometimes, which made the course play very long. Overall, a good track. Couple of issues: Not enough water available on the course. The fountain water was warm & didn’t have enough pressure to even fill a bottle. Golfers should be allowed to bring their own water.
You have to carry your clubs all the way out to the driving range, which is a hike from the bag drop and the bag assistants were bossy.
